Why not Snoop Dogg or Michael Arrington as CEO?
After all its been through, Yahoo has nothing to lose, except of course former CEO Carol Bartz, apparently fired over the phone today by Yahoo’s board of directors.
The news, first broken by All Things D’s Kara Swisher, later confirmed by Yahoo, wasn’t exactly a total shock – given Yahoo’s mediocre market performance since Bartz took over in January 2009 and promised to revitalize the company through her own special brand of profanity–laden motivation, but that didn’t exactly happen.
Instead, Yahoo sold its search platform to Microsoft’s Bing and added inline Twitter and Facebook login and posting capability to its email service.
Aside from that, well…at least we have these tweets by which to commemorate the end f=of Bartz’s tenure.
