As far as many evangelicals are concerned, Mormons aren’t considered Christians. So why does 700 Club superstar Pat Robertson think Mitt Romney is one?
In an interview with the AP, Robertson said exactly that:
He said he considers the Mormon candidate “an outstanding Christian,” but declined to say if he would be OK with a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the White House.

The half-not-wow part is that Robertson has been a bit unpredictable over the past, few years. In 2008, he endorsed the pro-choice Rudy Giuliani. That kind of move would have been unthinkable for Robertson ten years ago.
