Majority PAC Ties Scott Brown To Koch/Iran Revelations

A Democratic outside group, Majority PAC, is looking to make some political hay out of Bloomberg’s epic investigative piece on the Koch brothers’ questionable business practices. Citing the report’s claim that Koch Industries sold petrochemical equipment to Iran through its foreign subsidiaries, the Super PAC is demanding that Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) return all donations connected to the company and its owners.

“Tell Scott Brown that he must return ALL the contributions he received from the Iran-tainted coffers of David and Charles Koch and Koch Industries!” an appeal on the group’s website reads. The page features a split photo of Brown and Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and asks readers to sign an online petition calling on Brown to give back the cash.

Given the Koch brothers’ extensive ties to conservative causes and candidates and the reflexive revulsion their name elicits among progressives, Democrats clearly hope they can get some value out of the recent Bloomberg revelations.

Correction: An earlier version of the post misstated the name of the above Democratic group.
