American Crossroads To Expand Fundraising Juggernaut To House GOP
The Washington Post reports: “American Crossroads and its nonprofit affiliate, Crossroads GPS, will join two other Republican-friendly groups in a “House surge strategy,” spending up to $50 million in competitive districts over the next three weeks, officials said. The Crossroads groups will also expand their spending in Senate races. The plans pose yet another threat to Democrats’ wavering hold on Congress, as Republicans and their allies expand the playing field into more states.”

Elections Will Determine Haste Of Tax Debate
Roll Call reports: “Democrats and Republicans face a lame-duck dilemma on tax policy, and divisions in both parties are likely to complicate a debate that affects millions of Americans facing higher tax rates on Jan. 1. The task is large. The list of unresolved issues includes extending the 2001 and 2003 Bush-era tax cuts, corporate tax extenders, an expensive “fix” for the alternative minimum tax and an elusive bipartisan deal on the estate tax.”

Mitt Romney’s Plan: Go Big, Go Everywhere
Politico reports: “Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is grinding through the 2010 campaign state by state and district by district, adhering to a go-everywhere, never-say-no campaign schedule that will have recorded visits to 30 states before Election Day. It’s an approach that sets him apart from other 2012 prospects in its plodding, comprehensive, Nixon-in-’66-like pace.”
