Some $200,000 in White House audio equipment — in addition to a podium and a teleprompter — were stolen from a government van on Monday, NBC reports. Although the van itself was later recovered without incident, the equipment has yet to be seen.

The van had been parked at a Marriott hotel near Richmond, VA, which Obama is visiting as part of a three-day tour to promote his jobs bill, and was found at a Holiday Inn by the local airport.

In a statement, the Defense Systems Information Agency assured that no classified information was compromised in the theft:

“We take incidents such as this very seriously, and a formal investigation is continuing in coordination with relevant law enforcement agencies.”
