The Harry Reid campaign has a new ad in the Nevada Senate race, again stressing the campaign’s theme that Republican nominee Sharron Angle has extreme — or in this particular spot’s wording, “wild” — ideas.
“Sharron Angle voted against background checks to identify sex predators,” the announcer says. “She’s against enforcing restraining orders that protect victims of domestic violence. She says rape victims should be forced to have the baby. Sharron Angle would wipe out Social Security, Medicare, and she’d privatize the V.A.”
The ad then cuts to news video of a prominent state Republican who has endorsed Reid, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell: “Oh she’s wild. She’s wild. I mean, with the wild ideas she has, we would never get anything done.”
The TPM Poll Average gives Angle a narrow lead of 47.9%-47.4%.
