Republican Rob Portman leads Democratic Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher in Ohio’s Senate race, a new Rasmussen poll shows. The poll, released today, puts Portman ahead of Fisher 44%-40%.
Today’s Rasmussen numbers are slightly more favorable to Fisher than Rasmussen’s last poll of the race from July 19, which showed Portman ahead six points, 45%-39%.
The TPM Poll Average gives Portman a razor-thin 42.8%-42.1% edge. The margin of error of the latest Rasmussen survey is ±4.0 percentage points.
