Tim Pawlenty continues his Michael Bay-like metamorphosis, releasing yet another video, this time lauding the Tea Party as “a great addition to the conservative coalition and the coalition for change in this country. They are part of the energy, the passion, the call for change.”
As readers may recall, Pawlenty kicked off his maybe-campaign for the presidency in January with a dramatic video, scored and edited like an action or disaster movie trailer, where T-Paw was the one saving the world.
In this new video, Pawlenty seems to be looking to build up his cred with the Tea Party: “Historical change in this country usually starts with a group that’s somewhat fresh, somewhat new — that starts with a little bit of outsider status but then over time they become the driving force for change. I think the Tea Party is a welcome, helpful, energetic, forward-leaning organization.”
