Just as Congress prepares to vote on the Bush-era tax cuts, MoveOn.org has a new ad out today, calling for President Barack Obama to return to his bold days as a candidate.
The ad features a montage of people asking Obama to “be the president we fought to elect,” and let the tax cuts expire.
One woman in the ad asks, “What’s happened to that bold, progressive man we elected president in 2008?”
Another man says, “We voted for you because, for the first time in our lifetime, a politician was actually laying out a plan that reinforced the values that we’ve come to believe in as Americans.”
