A Marist survey
of likely voters
shows Democratic candidate Andrew Cuomo leading Republican Carl Paladino 56%-40% in the race for New York governor.
The last Marist poll, released last week, showed Cuomo leading 53%-34%, though that survey also polled for Rick Lazio, who hinted he might run on a third-party ticket but dropped out this week.
It's too soon to tell how Paladino's latest outburst, when he threatened New York Post journalist Fred Dicker, will impact his standing in the polls.
The TPM Poll Average shows Cuomo leading 52.8%-38.4%.
