A new ad from Working for Us PAC in the Illinois Senate race attacks Republican Rep. Mark Kirk by painting him as a “yes man” to President George W. Bush.
“He’s the ‘yes man’ who shipped our jobs overseas,” a narrator says, as a picture of Kirk with Bush appears on the screen.
At a debate last night, Democrat Alexi Giannoulias frequently invoked Karl Rove and Kirk’s votes for Bush administration budgets in his attacks on the Republican.
The TPM Poll Average for this race shows Kirk barely leading Giannoulias 43.8%-43.7%.
