Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) weighed in Tuesday night after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s (R-VA) shocking defeat in the GOP primary to David Brat.

“Eric Cantor and I have been through a lot together,” Boehner said. “He’s a good friend and a great leader, and someone I’ve come to rely upon on a daily basis as we make the tough choices that come with governing. My thoughts are with him and Diana and their kids tonight.”

  2. Dear Mr. Boehner,

Will you be retiring from the House when you’ve been removed as its speaker?

    Thank You,

    Everyone

  3. Boehner’s remarks sound like a post mortem. Oh, wait, they are…

  4. So sad. It’s like having Cantor’s dick snapped off while still in his ass.

  5. In the Cantor defeat, Speaker John gets one long knife pulled out of his back. Bad news is, there are 16 pocket knives looking for something to stick themselves into, just a little bit lower :crying_cat_face:
