BUZZING: Today in the Hive

From a TPM Prime member: “This decision and the fact that is arises because of an Arizona case is a picture of the real Arizona, where independence is more valued than Conservatism. In this case, like the medical marijuana law which many have been surprised about, Arizona is often more forward looking than the supposed liberal states in the northeast. We have the crazy idea that each person’s vote should be equal in a democracy. Not all of us, but a majority of us. There are many places in Arizona far more progressive than NYC. New York City???? They can’t make salsa nor, apparently, non gerrymandered districts!”

Related: The Supreme Court upheld Arizona congressional districts drawn by an independent commission.
