BUZZING: Today in the Hive

From a TPM Prime member: “There may be multiple issues at play, not necessarily mutually exclusive. Some seem to believe that the Clintons never belonged in Washington. That attitude has been suggested to some degree in a large number editorials from both the Times and Washington Post, since the Clintons first came to power. What passes for balance, even in the New York Times, often involves letting somebody from the right publish an editorial that amounts to a hit piece against a left-wing target. The Clintons, like Trump or the Kardashians, make for easy headlines — easier, in fact, because while Trump and the Kardashians do whatever they can to get the cameras to point in their direction, you don’t even need facts in order to create a new Clinton scandal. If you’re a lazy reporter or editor, and you want to generate buzz or web traffic, it’s almost a gimme.”
