White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner spoke for 28 minutes during their conversation on a budget deal Wednesday. Carney on Thursday echoed Boehner’s remarks on the call, saying it was “frank and direct and a good conversation.”
