Google has unveiled a new cloud storage system called Google Drive. The system allows users to store all types of files, including documents, photos, video and audio, on Google’s servers for access from any computer, without taking up space on a user’s hard drives. The new product, available now, operates on a freemium model, with 5 GB of free storage and then monthly rates depending on the specific increase. The move puts Google in direct competition with other cloud storage services, including the popular Dropbox.
