ABC Senior Vice President Jeffrey Schneider is hitting back after Newt Gingrich’s denial that he asked his former wife, Marianne, to have an “open marriage.”
Gingrich during Thursday night’s Republican debate hammered CNN for asking about the story and denied the story’s charges flat-out. But ABC isn’t buying it.
“His daughters were interviewed for our ‘Nightline’ story last night and we sought interviews with Gingrich or surrogates very aggressively starting Tuesday morning,” Schneider said. “We would have been happy to interview anyone they put forward.”
