On the heels of two Democratic polls showing Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes narrowly edging Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), The Cook Political Report, the prominent nonpartisan outlet that analyzes elections, has moved the race in the toss-up column.
Jennifer Duffy, the senior editor of The Cook Political Report, made the announcement Friday via Twitter:
#KYSEN given that two polls show the race within the MOE and with Grimes ahead of McConnell in both, it moves to the Toss Up column.

A survey from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling on Thursday showed Grimes, who officially launched her campaign ealier this week, leading McConnell by a point. The Grimes campaign released another survey on Friday, conducted by The Mellman Group, that showed her up by two.
