In a scene that will surely warm the hearts of every pundit and politician who yearns for the days when partisanship was quelled over food and drink, Ted Cruz and Cory Booker went out for dinner together on Wednesday night.
The two senators were photographed by Twitter user Zack Stoller. According to USA Today, the two dined at Bistro Bis, a French restaurant near Capitol Hill.

Cruz followed up the meal with an invitation to Booker over Twitter, suggesting that the two dine at Tortilla Coast next — a reference to the Capitol Hill Tex-Mex joint where the Texas senator huddled with a group of House Republicans during last year’s government shutdown.
@CoryBooker Next time we go to dinner, I hear @tortillacoast has a secret basement meeting room…

Booker responded by suggesting the two go vegan next time.
This might offend your Texas taste. But let’s go to a DC Vegan restaurant next! RT @SenTedCruz: Next time we go to dinner… @tortillacoast
