Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin (R), who has endorsed Donald Trump’s presidential bid, on Sunday said that Trump is trying to be a “racial healer.”
“I think he is trying to campaign as a racial healer,” Fallin said on CNN’s “State of the Union” when asked if Trump has been trying to eliminate racial divides during his campaign.
“I think that has been part of his message, if you watch what he said this week, he talked about how devastating it was for Dallas, how we need to respect our law enforcement, how we need to pray for those who are killed and those who are injured,” she added. “I think that is his intent. I trust him with his words.”
Following the Dallas shooting that left five police officers dead, Trump released a relatively measured statement.
“We must restore law and order. We must restore the confidence of our people to be safe and secure in their homes and on the street,” he said in the statement. “The senseless, tragic deaths of two motorists in Louisiana and Minnesota reminds us how much more needs to be done.”
“Our nation has become too divided. Too many Americans feel like they’ve lost hope. Crime is harming too many citizens. Racial tensions have gotten worse, not better. This isn’t the American Dream we all want for our children,” Trump continued. “This is a time, perhaps more than ever, for strong leadership, love and compassion. We will pull through these tragedies.”
He also released a campaign video saying that all Americans must feel safe and again noting that “racial divisions have gotten worse, not better.”
On Sunday, Trump published tweets criticizing President Obama, charging that the President does not understand racial tensions in the country.
Look what is happening to our country under the WEAK leadership of Obama and people like Crooked Hillary Clinton. We are a divided nation!

President Obama thinks the nation is not as divided as people think. He is living in a world of the make believe!
