Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump further attacked rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) in an interview aired Sunday, calling him a “nasty guy.”

Trump made the comments during an interview with ABC’s “This Week.”

“I don’t think Ted Cruz has a great chance, to be honest with you,” Trump said. “Look, the truth is, he’s a nasty guy. He was so nice to me. I mean, I knew it. I was watching. I kept saying, ‘Come on Ted. Let’s go, OK.’ But he’s a nasty guy.”

Trump further argued that “nobody” likes Cruz.

“Nobody likes him. Nobody in Congress likes him,” Trump said. “Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him. He’s a very –- he’s got an edge that’s not good. You can’t make deals with people like that and it’s not a good thing. It’s not a good thing
for the country. Very nasty guy.”

Republicans have loved Trump’s hyper-aggressiveness. It’ll be interesting to see how they react when it’s turned inward-against one of their own beloved sons.

  3. Poor Ted… he tried so hard to not attack Trump so he could hoover up his supporters when he finally crashes, but The Donald ain’t cooperatin’.

  4. That points out one of Cruz’s problems, though—he’s so widely reviled by GOP organizational people (party functionaries and elected office-holders) that he’s sort of on his own. He’ll win the nomination in spite of them, and they’ll only come around when it becomes clear he’s got the nomination nailed down.
