Polls are closing in Georgia. It’s one of the first states we’ll be getting election results from, and has what is perhaps America’s most closely watched governors race this year. Cameron Joseph wrote extensively about the race and the central role that access to the ballot has played in the campaign. Democrat Stacey Abrams, who stands to become America’s first black female governor, and her Republican challenger, Secretary of State Brian Kemp, have wrangled over who has access to the ballot in the state for years.
