Despite his full-throated refusals that he would “not be on stage campaigning,” Fox News’ Sean Hannity took the microphone with enthusiasm at President Donald Trump’s rally Monday night, lauding the President’s economic and foreign policy.

Trump started listing people who had “been with us since the beginning,” calling Hannity onto the stage.

Hannity bounded up the steps, taking a moment to decry his media colleagues present at the rally as “fake news,” setting off a cascade of booing throughout the room.

“The one thing that has made and defined your presidency more than anything else, promises made, promises kept, four and a half million new American jobs, 4.3 million Americans off food stamps, 4 million Americans out of poverty…” Hannity said. “Mr. President, thank you.”

Hannity sang a very different tune Monday when reports emerged that he and right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh were planning to make appearances at the rally.

Despite his indignation, this is far from the first time Hannity has set aside his journalistic standards to campaign for Republican candidates.
