Conservatives Freak Out Over AOC’s Lack Of Joy During Trump’s SOTU

Conservatives are so obsessed with hating Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) that she evokes ire from them simply by doing nothing.

During much of President Trump’s State of the Union address, Ocasio-Cortez remained seated with a straight face. Her lack of joy during Trump’s speech was too much some conservatives, and they lashed out on Twitter, mocking her body language.

Things Ocasio-Cortez didn't applaud;

– Record low African-American & Hispanic unemployment
– Stopping sex traffickers
– The "common good"
– ICE agent who saved 300 girls from smugglers
– Not killing full term babies
– Veterans

Things Ocasio-Cortez did applaud;

– Herself.

The conservative freakout prompted Ocasio-Cortez to defend herself, arguing there was no reason she should feel obligated to applaud policies she disagrees with.

Why should I be “spirited and warm” for this embarrassment of a #SOTU?

Tonight was an unsettling night for our country. The president failed to offer any plan, any vision at all, for our future.

Her response only invited further conservative indignance.
