The brother of Lauren Sanchez, Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend, gave the pair’s private text messages to the National Enquirer, The Daily Beast reported.

According to several sources within the tabloid’s parent company, American Media Inc., who spoke to the Daily Beast, Michael Sanchez — a Democrat who supports President Trump and has ties to Roger Stone — shared the stolen messages. Sanchez has denied any involvement and claimed his political affiliations are being used against him.

In an explosive blog post last week, Bezos accused the National Enquirer of attempting to blackmail him. He posted emails he’d received from tabloid officials who had reportedly threatened to publish lurid photos of the Amazon founder if he didn’t cut off his investigation into the leak of his texts.
