President Donald Trump accused “Obama people” of leaking less-than-favorable details about his tense phone calls with Australian and Mexican leaders, calling the leakers “disgraceful” in an interview with Fox News published Monday.

Trump accused holdovers from former President Barack Obama’s administration of sharing the information with reporters, telling Fox’s Judith Miller that he is working hard to replace them with his own picks.

“It’s a disgrace that they leaked because it’s very much against our country,” Trump told Miller. “It’s a very dangerous thing for this country.”

Trump did not indicate why he believed the leaks came from Obama administration holdovers.

The President denied reports about the calls, telling Miller that the tone was mischaracterized and that in fact he had “positive” calls with foreign leaders.
