Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) after he mocked her over a Daily Mail article that claimed she compared her election to the moon landing, instructing the ex-governor to “leave the false statements” to his daughter, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

During a global warming press conference last month, Ocasio-Cortez listed a number of U.S. accomplishments that people used to think were impossible, and suggested that the Democrats’ takeover of the House in the midterms was on par with them.

“We’ve done what we thought was impossible,” she said. “We went to the moon. We electrified the nation. We established civil rights. We enfranchised the country. We dig deep, and we did it. We did it when no one else thought that we could. That’s what we did when so many of us won an election this year.”
