Jon Tester Announces Support For Manchin-Toomey Gun Bill

Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) on Monday afternoon announced his support for the Manchin-Toomey legislation to expand mandatory background checks to gun shows and Internet sales.

“This makes my 2nd Amendment rights stronger,” Tester said on the Senate floor, saying that gun rights are threatened by irresponsible gun owners. “This bipartisan agreement makes sure that we protect that 2nd Amendment by responsible gun owners.”
