Fox News Shortchanges Obamacare Enrollment With Misleading Graphic

Looks pretty bad, doesn’t it? According to this Fox News graphic, Obamacare enrollment is falling far short of the pre-launch goals. It’s not even close.

Of course, that’s because their graphic wizards have obliterated any semblance of proportion to make it look like 6 million is somehow one-third of 7 million.

The curious Fox illustration, which aired Monday during “America’s Newsroom,” follows the Obama administration’s Thursday announcement that 6 million had enrolled in private coverage through the law. The Congressional Budget Office had originally estimated about 7 million people would sign up for coverage this year.

But Fox also neglected to mention that CBO had actually revised its enrollment projection to 6 million in the wake of HealthCare.gov’s disastrous launch.
