Not all conservatives used the death of American hostage Kayla Mueller to highlight the brutality of the Islamic State — some decided to focus their disgust on the 26-year-old’s humanitarian work for Palestinians.
“No tears for the newly-departed Kayla Mueller, the ISIS hostage whose parents confirmed today that she is dead,” conservative blogger Debbie Schlussel wrote on Tuesday, under the headline, “Kayla Mueller: Dead ISIS Hostage Was Jew-Hating, Anti-Israel Bitch.”
“Mueller was a Jew-hating, anti-Israel piece of crap who worked with HAMAS and helped Palestinians harass Israeli soldiers and block them from doing their job of keeping Islamic terrorists out of Israel,” she wrote.
Schlussel condemned Mueller’s humanitarian work in the “so-called ‘West Bank'” to prevent the demolition of “terrorists’ ‘houses.'”
“I have no sympathy for any of these ‘American’ (in name only!) hostages of ISIS,” she continued. “And my attitude when I hear they’ve been snuffed out is, so sad, too bad.”
Schlussel called the killing of Mueller “poetic justice.”
Meanwhile, Breitbart California editor and onetime Illinois congressional candidate Joel Pollak tweeted on Tuesday that Mueller’s “anti-Israel” activism cost her life at the hands of the Islamic State.

The blog GatewayPundit (motto: “where hope finally made a comeback”) also said Mueller was guilty of anti-Semitism and aiding terrorism.
“Mueller protested the Jews,” the post read, describing the International Solidarity Movement, a group opposing the Israeli occupation, as “pro-terrorist.”
Words fail me here. There is no amount of snark or belittlement that would do justice in this situation. Sometimes I think I these people are an entirely different species from the rest of humanity. . .
Least we forget, there are many, many people within the mainstream GOP who hold the same views as these vitriolic hate spewers. Tea-baggers, wing nuts, they are not just the fringe anymore, they are now in real, day-to-day, decision making positions in the republic party. It is time for the media to stop this “he said, she said” nonsense and get back to calling out these nutty elements for what they really are; the real destroyers American 'values".
Once again proving that a oppression followed by a couple generations eventually produces oppressors.
