Rick Santorum didn’t just pick up a couple of low turnout caucus states and Missouri. He’s actually moving into the lead among Republicans nationwide. It’s simply amazing.

Look at the chart after the jump …The TPM Poll Average of the national GOP primary race currently has Romney holding a mere .2% lead over Rick Santorum. And the two polls out today both have Santorum in the lead.

Maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised since virtually every other member of the GOP field was beating Mitt Romney at some point. But it’s not November or December anymore. It’s February. Mitt is supposed to be wrapping this up, the de facto nominee. And he’s not even in the lead.
