TPM is hiring a Reporter to work in our New York City office. Reporters are the main arms of our editorial team, using a mix of good old fashioned reporting skills and digital native tools to identify stories, grab hold of them and not let them go until there’s no more news left in them to report. Our model is iterative journalism, which means we strive not to be captive to any single format but rather let the story and news of the moment dictate the format we use to cover it.
We’re looking for someone who is deeply conversant with the news world and ready to work at the fast-paced metabolism of a new media news organization. A solid grasp of contemporary U.S. politics, a real familiarity with TPM, and solid news judgment are each a must. Applicants should have 2 to 5 years editorial experience, ideally in settings with some similarity to TPM.
