Republican House Minority Whip Eric Cantor weighed in on Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to run for House Minority Leader today, and said that while it would be good for the Republicans, it would be “almost as if [the Democrats] just didn’t get the message from the voters this election.”
Cantor was on Fox News Sunday earlier, and told Chris Wallace: “The voters outright rejected the agenda that she’s been about, and here they’re gonna put her back in charge.”
Wallace asked if a Pelosi-led party would be “a thumb in the eye” of voters. Cantor replied: “I don’t think there’s any question that this says to the voters, ‘we’re not listening to you, we think we’re right, we’re going to continue this same path.'”
