Yemen’s defense minister survived a suicide attack on his motorcade in Sanaa, CNN reports. The attack, however, managed to kill eleven members of the Major General Mohammed Nasser Ahmed’s coterie, including six guards.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but it comes one day after Said al-Shehri, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula’s second-in-command, was killed in the country’s eastern region.
