On Wednesday John McCain assured America and the world he will stand up to petty dictators to the south of our border.  The noted revolutionary and drug runner Zapatero is at the top of his list.  Huh?  Ummmm...Zapatero isn't a narco leftist from Central America?  He's the leader of Spain?  Ahhhh, don't sweat the little details.  He's a bad guy anyways, he pulled the Spanish troops out of Iraq and if we dig hard enough I am sure we'll find ties between Zapatero and Chavez, right?  Well maybe, but only in McCain's addled mind.

First there was not being able to identify who the Sunnis and Shi'a were.  Then we got to hear about the Iraq-Pakistan border.  Moving right along to Senator Maverick not knowing that the Sunni awakening preceded the Surge.  A pattern has become evident.  And I won't even get into his admission that he knows little about the economy.  These aren't just isolated cases of McCain 'mistakes' or him being confused.  It should be obvious to all that McCain's mental facilities are in decline.

We already know that Gov. Sarah "A Not Ready For Prime Time Player" Palin's only foreign policy qualification is her state's geographic proximity to Russia but McCain's gaffes should be enough to cast serious doubts on the qualifications of the person at the top of the ticket.  Seriously (in the words of Barack Obama), you just can't keep making this stuff up.  What has McCain been doing the last 26 years in Congress?  Not paying attention would be my guess.  Or maybe he did pay attention and just forgot he did.
