The Best "Hey, media, F.U!" video around
If you have not yet seen this FANTASTIC video about the relationship between McCain and the media, and the media in general, you have to watch this.
Outstanding job. Absolutely outstanding!
Please Recommend this if you agree. And share widely. The media coziness with the Washington elite needs to be brought to the forefront!

Perfect. Just the thing to send to the journalists. See if there's any recognition and, more, and shame.

Honestly, how do we get this on the air? How do we go about shaming these people who are so far up a certain candidate (and I don't care who that candidate is), media should be reporting news, not making stuff up or completely ignoring things.
Really, there have been life altering books worth of data which has come out of the Bush administration, and even now a few on Palin.
Imagine, if you will, if Obama was for making rape victims pay for their own forensic testing.
Imagine, if you will if Obama had Michelle and the kids along on state/federal sponsored trips.
Imagine, if you will, if Obama had BBQ's for his buds in the media and the media brought him doughnuts with sprinkles on them - his favorite kind!
We would see coverage of nuclear proportions.

Well I am not sure who is saying what about who but I am sure of one thing. No one has ever enjoyed a more biased relationship with the press than Obama. The press has treated him like he was the onointed one for the whole campaign. No one has ever been more involved with people that are scandelious ( A tereorist, A crook ( Risco) who but the way loaned hime the money to buy his 13 million dollar chicago mansion, A preacher that seams to hate America )and no one has ever been less qualified. Yet the left seems hell bent and determined to find something anything even if they have to make it up to slander Sara Palin. I guess they just do not get it America loves her because she is not PHONY like Barack Obama

Actually...no we wouldn't. Obama is the least "vetted by the press/media" of any candidate that has run. The second post above, bad spelling aside, makes the point. These stories were hardly covered by most of the mainstream media, or quickly moved out of sight. In addition, the Obamas working for, and links to ACORN in Chicago during his "community organizer days" is hardly mentioned. Reference: http://www.barackbook.com/Profiles/ACORN.htm

So John's a traitor? Wow.

You have got to be joking? The media has looked into every nook and cranny of Obama. The best that they could find was Wright (whose comments were taken way out of context, but why interject any truth into a wonderful 10 second sound bite).
He is accomplished and has indeed worked across the aisle.
Rezko? Nothing there. Ayers? He knew the guy? Yeah, that's hard hitting. Nothing like Keating 5, right? Oh, no...St. John, who was merely admonished over the whole affair, while three others lost their seats. Spare my your hypocrisy!
How about Obama's accomplishments?

Assholes both of you!
And you and your friend above are trolls.

That was freaking amazing. Why can't we get stuff like that more widely seen? It needs to go viral.

There are many fallacies in this video. The notion of the "fourth estate" is just that -- a notion. I suggest you read up on William Hearst (the Rupert Murdoch of his day) and yellow journalism. The Spanish-American war was largely a result of the press in concert with Washington.
I would also check up on Woodward and Bernstein. They broke and followed the Watergate story precisely because the Washington Press Corps wasn't doing it's job. (Normally, it would have been *their* job!)
Don't dream of days of yore that never existed in the first place -- that's why we can't go back to them!
Instead, recognize that the Internet is now putting significant pressure on the media to move things along. TPM, for example, is like the Woodward and Bernstein of today -- that is, if they maintain journalistic standards.
That is the real issue: Watergate broke because the WaPo was so very careful not to jump the gun -- and therefore all credibility was there. If there was even a crack in the credibility, it would have been he said/she said and then Watergate wouldn't have happened.
Know history. It's more important than today's latest polls.

Unfortunately for Gov. Palin and the McCain campaign, and surprisingly and refreshingly, some of the MSM seem to be figuring out that the "slander" agasint Gov. Palin is not made up and is actually fact based.
Now, if I could only get the WV MSM (other than the Charleston Gazette, the rest of our WV press rely on the AP pipeline for their national stories) and the state Democratic leadership (most of whom are DINOs) to wake up.
On the other hand, the National Enquirer is very popular here......

This was supposed to be a response to William Johnson's post above. Not sure what happened.

Great video. I've been been reading and participating in non-mainstream media for years for precisely this reason. Money, power and fame are powerful narcotics.
As for Obama not being vetted...I heard the Reverend Wright clips so many times I could recite them by heart.
