As pointed out so far the McCain campaign seems to be willing to flat out lie.  The mainstream media is picking up on this, but this point needs to be driven home more forcefully.  Something that may be building.  Sarah Palin has mobilized the Christian Right who historically were lukewarm about McCain.  The Obama campaign needs to refocus attention back on McCain and sow seeds of doubt in the Christian Right about McCain.  How about an ad citing the commandment about false witness?

John McCain says Barack Obama will raise your taxes.  In fact, under Barack Obama's econonomic stimulus plan, 80(?) % of taxpayers will get a tax cut.

Voice over: "Though Shalt Not Bear False Witness"

John McCain says Barack Obama proposed legislation to teach sex education to kindergartners.  In fact, Barack Obama supports legislation to protect school children from child predators.

Voice over: "Though Shalt Not Bear False Witness"

John McCain accuses Barack of Obama of being a celebrity.  Who announced he was running for President on the David Letterman show?  [Show clips of McCain on SNL, Leno, Letterman, The View . . .

You get the point.  If it really gets nasty, there's also that commandment about adultery.
