McCain was a POW. Did you know that? Sure, he is using it as an excuse a lot. And that may work - to a lot of people, that single fact may be all they know about him, and it may be enough to attribute to him the virtues of honor, service, and love of country. So he is smart to trot it out wherever he can.

But why does Obama have to preface every mention of McCain with that fact? I just couldn't get it - enough already, yeah yeah yeah, I know I know...Quit tooting the other guy's horn!

Then it hit me. Maybe only way to take the power out of that POW history, to get MSM to start to question the exploitation of it, is to repeat it ad nauseum - to agree that yes, it is the essence; it is all there is; a long time ago McCain served his country and was a POW. John McCain, the POW. Again. And again. And again.

Next time John McCain (er, his surrogate) mentions that he was  a POW, you just might be tired of hearing it.
