The Case for Obama
To start, I am an Obama supporter. Ive been lurking on TPM for a few months and just recently started to post here.
This weekend I had the unexpected opportunity of having a conversation with an acquaintance of mine who is a longtime Democrat and who has not come out for any of the candidates so far. During the course of our conversation my freind asked if I had watched Hillary's speech on Saturday, to which I answered in the affirmative. My acquaintance inquired as to my thoughts on the topic.
Now my question is: what is the best way to proceed with this conversation? To reiterate, I don't know which candidate this person might be leaning to. Keep in mind that my goal is to leave this person knowing that they have a better opinion of Barrack Obama.

Here is a conversation on that very topic.
In the blog, I speak about a conversation I had with an uncommitted libertarian on a flight from Portland to Salt Lake. A couple of the comments also speak about what they have said to pitch the idea of a Barack Obama presidency.
I definitely think there are hearts and minds ready to be won if we can passionate, intelligent and convincing in our arguments.
Welcome (recommended) and good luck!

I'm an Obama supporter and I thought her speech was excellent. It's an easy pivot from her speech, including her support for Obama, to the need for Senator Obama to kick McCain's ass this November. If he/she is a Democrat that should be an easy conversation for you to have.
