Camp Clinton"Don't you dare pick another woman"????
Just caught a K.O. clip w/Fineman where Howard stated quite plainly that Hillary's people are letting Obama know that if Hillary is not the V.P. choice they're not to offer it to another woman.Who does this woman think she is?. Suddenly she's not just the most successful female candidate in history, she's now the Only Woman Qualified for the job. Ladies, if this don't piss you off enough to shake your support of her I don't know what will.I realize Hill's a little sensitive about that whole "Other Woman"thing, but her personal feelings are no reason to disqualify any of several excellent female V.P. candidates. Sad thing is, I included Hillary on that "short list" of credible candidates until about 3 months ago......

yeah. apparently Hillary is only interested in breaking through her own glass ceiling and expanding opportunity for herself.
All the rest of you women are on your own.

Somehow, I don't think Clinton demands are going to determine Obama's choice of VP.
I don't know if this claim is true or not. There are so many wild and sometimes contradictory stories floating around at this point that I'm not taking anything as gospel until I hear it from Clinton's lips. And even then, there's a grain of salt.
Still, if it is true, it would contribute to my theory that Clinton is in many ways bad for feminism. (She's done many good things for feminism, too. It'll be up to history to decide if she's a net negative or positive.)

You're mistaken. "Ladies, if this don't piss you off ..." should be "Ladies, if this doesn't piss you off...". Unless of course you are black.

Sorry, Otto, but it's Southern as well. Take a few breaths - a warrior fights with calm in his belly.

Lots of barriers being broken and red lines crossed in the past two days, Alex. That was one.

This might be precisely the only right thing to do.
VPs were often picked for nothing else but election purposes, sometimes just to bring in one state. There are lots of people qualified to be a good VP, so why not pick one of these women? This is a good 50-state election strategy--so long as the VP doesn't come with any huge negatives to cripple the entire ticket.
