Why Am I Only Hearing About This Now???

...First, let me make a side-note that two posts in a day is a rarity for me... even if the first was at 4AM.

Now then, without further ado, I present exhibit A:

And now, I present my reaction:

...You mean that no one except Fareed Zakaria felt this was important enough to write about???? I love Fareed Zakaria, but here's the thing about him - he's not a journalist; he's an opinion columnist. A hell of a good one, but when I read an Op-Ed, I usually expect to know the facts before I read the piece. The Op-Ed's only job is to show me a way to interpret it. So where was everyone?? Napping?? Taking 3AM phone calls?? And is there any way to get some real research on this? Is anyone familiar with it?

Oh you are so naive. Why does this matter? I am more concerned with reverends, snipers, husbands, tax returns, weathermen pardoned and not, flag pins, and pantsuits. These are the issues that the next American president needs to address and not pointless issues such as foreign policy. I mean, "foreign?"

Oh, shoot, lo----ts of words. O_O I'm not sure if my little voter mind can take it...

Thanks for the link!

Again, can't wait for the General election. Should be fun watching McCain talk about excluding Russia, 100 years in Iraq, and invasion plans for Iran.

Yeah, it's pretty shocking to learn the Republican nominee for president wants to go out of his way to reignite the Cold War.
Not just with Russia, but with the major U.S. trading partner, China.
I was surprised to realize his March 26 "major foreign-policy speech" had made so few waves; I'd seen nothing about it, and I read the news a fair bit. So I did a little googling.
Perhaps one reason it didn't make the front pages or prime-time news shows is that, technically speaking, it isn't NEWS.
John McCain has been formally proposing booting Russia out of the G8 since at least last October; he wrote an article to that effect for Foreign Affairs magazine.
And he and Joe Lieberman first tried to get Russia suspended from the G8 in 2005.
So to some in the media, his March speech would have seemed just John being John; nothing new here. Plus much juicier political stuff was happening just about then: Jeremiah Wright was bursting onto the scene.
That's the rationale for giving McCain a pass on his crazy talk, but of course it's no justification.
The man is running to be president of the United States, for God's sake. His policies -- especially on issues of war and peace -- have to go under the microscope.
But to our pathetic media, the trivia and gotcha of the Democratic horse race is just so much more fun, and drives up ratings so much more.
Yet another reason a stake must be driven through the heart of Clinton's zombie campaign, sooner rather than later!
(If you haven't yet, recommend this post.)

That long?? O_O Oh geez...
