Pastor Wright, are you trying to Damn Obama and America?
Dear Pastor Wright -
Why are you doing this?
Why now?
Is it the millions of $ worth of publicity?
Is it because you are promoting a new book?
Is it anger that Obama had to denounce your inflammatory words?
Is it your ego?
Are you utterly selfish?
Are you jealous of Senator Obama who could do more to heal race relations than any single man since Martin Luther King?
Have you gone stark raving mad?
I know that you are a very intelligent man and that you cannot possibly believe that Obama will get elected if you continue to spread your poisonous cloud around him.
Why now, when Clinton is losing badly,McCain is polling low - tons of bad news going out against either one, Clinton fund raisers and delegates defecting, all of a sudden this guy goes on a media blitz?
Why couldn't you wait until we had a Democratic President in the White House?
I hear ultra liberals and "progressives" say how you are only speaking the truth and you are defending your honor, and that of your church.
I'm a liberal too, but I don't buy what you are selling.
We know the un-decideds and the cross over voters won't buy it.
The funny thing (sad actually) is that the end result of your "media blitz" is that more people are mis-understanding the black church and black people.
Who appointed you the representative of "The Black Church" anyway?
Any smart person (which I know you are) who has dealt with the media knows that "the media is not your friend"... and learns to measure their words carefully.
Your interview with Bill Moyers was measured and engaging.
But your speech at the NAACP event was divisive and further stressed the differences between black and white, which is the opposite of Obama's message that we are more alike than different.
I realize that you will make millions by promoting yourself this way, but aren't you wealthy enough? Didn't your church just spend millions on a new house for you?
Pastor Wright, I used to admire and respect you.
Not anymore.
Now - I judge you by your actions.
You are knee-capping a very good man and for what?
Maybe you are wanting God to damn America - with a republican president.
Is anyone paying you to do this?

Go watch Wright's addresses to the Detroit NAACP fund raising dinner and the Nat. Press Club this morning. You would then realize it is not about Obama.

Does anyone know who is planning to publish Wright's book?
Or anything about the publishing company?
Who is pushing Wright's "media blitz"?

the book thing was a joke thrown in there.
seriously, he's been writing a book for a long time.
he was being funny. to think he wasn't well known enough before, or that he needs this to sell his book is to be ignorant to say the least.
he's been a well known man among the people that would buy his book anyway.

Please Reverend Wright, do more interviews. Do a full hour with Sean Hannity. Keep talking REV...in a few more days the American people, and 90% of DEMS over 45 will realize Wright is a leftist wacko and Obama is a fatally flawed possible nominee. It took the American people less than 2 months what sitting in that pew for 20 years Senator Obama has yet to realize. Reverend Wright showed himself today to be a wacko and a racist. Obama stayed in the REV's church for 20 years! Fatally Flawed.

If you've listened to him speak and still think he is racist, Marginal, then I submit that you have your own racial issues.

Prove that Rev. Wright is a racist.
Is anybody up to the challenge?

Rev. Wright is not a racist. In all of his appearances he spoke of acceptance of the differences between us he also said all people are equal in the eyes of God - including white racists. I don't think his speeches today and last night were divisive either. But he should have stopped with the Moyers interview, if not just wait altogether.
I don't think he's gone stark raving mad, but I do think it is self-aggrandizement and narcissism, anger at the fallout and probably some envy. Book sales won't hurt either. He is a charismatic man with a big ego. I think he may be viewing himself as some sort of ambassador for African Americans everywhere or at least those of faith. He's respected and well liked in that community but he's no Jesse Jackson. His methods are too abrasive. He's not quite ready for prime time.
He should have put the hopes of millions of people, and the majority of African Americans above his own personal agenda. He has just created a huge distraction at a time when we should be focusing on issues and message, Obama's message not that of the Rev. Wright.

NO NO NO NO
This is what the media wants you to think
Did you watch the speeches and believe that?
If so, then I must be a really strange white guy.
Because EVERYTHING you're saying is stuff that the media put onto him.
He spoke about himself and his church, and invited the media to start looking into the black church tradition.
But he also called out the media for not being responsible in their journalism and not fact checking. And he's calling them out on name-calling.
And they're pissed that he had the gall to stand up to them.
But you can't let the media control the narrative. They would have controlled his story, he did the only thing he could do to give people an insight into what he is about.
Of course he's being resisted by the media. Both him and Barack about changing the status-quo. The media is loving the status-quo, when government propaganda and police footage is brought directly into their studios, they never have to chase a story or fact-check any more.
Don't defend them. Don't validate them.
