I found TPM's polar opposite blog site
http://www.talkleft.com/
For you trolls (Weaver, gotalife, etc.) this is more of a pro Hillary site in terms of news stories and comments.
The Hillary fan support there is nearly equals the Obama fan support here.

Where is the fun in an echo chamber?

That's the first thing you've said in two weeks I semi-respect.

And I repeat (since I forgot to hit the "reply" box again):
To paraphrase our beloved Lady of the Flaming Pantsuit,
"If you can't stand the echo, get out of the chamber!"

Where do you think they get their talking points? Jeralynn or Armando puts up a post and the person you mentioned immediately posts them here.

Wow, and I always really liked Jeralynn, too.

That would be TPM's polar opposite if Josh Marshall put nothing but reader comments on the front page.

True. TPM is a news site, in spite of the protestation of many readers.

I think of it as a clipping service, aimed at a certain readership. Now and then I think Greg Sargent makes some news with his interviews. Josh, I think, has become a perfect example of a pompous ass.

Is this a mouthful: "The Online Magazine with Liberal coverage of crime-related political and injustice news"? A niche website, I guess. BUT CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THIS MEANS? And how much "coverage" they provide, apart from links posted by readers? And how this somehow translates into a Hillary sanctuary, because apparently it is?
I am so confused.

Crimes of Pantsuit Fashion? I wonder what Tim Gunn would do with Hillary's closet? Now that I've mentioned it, I don't think I could watch the part where he goes through her underwear drawer. Ewwww!
I think I just made Jesus step on another puppy over that one.
God bless Our Lady of the Flaming Pantsuit!

I assume they moderate the comments so only pro Clinton, anti Obama propaganda are allowed? That seems to be the trend with both Clinton fan sites and creationist blogs.

Amusing. You don't need moderation to create an echo chamber, only fanatics. As gotalife says, it's no fun to participate in the echo chamber if you just join in with the choir. The real fun and intellectual stimulation comes from holding a mirror up to the echo chamber and shaking it a little. Also fun to puncture the ego of a pompous ass now and then. And you can't throw a dead cat without hitting a pompous ass around here.

Pot, meet Kettle...Kettle, meet Pot.
...speaking of pompous asses pointing their fingers.
And speaking of things black:

I love the irony. Always thought you fit the pompous ass label to a tee, a standout ass, among the commenters here.
Isnt that why you changed your avatar?
April 20, 2008 1:53 PM | Reply | Permalink
Why thank you! I'm flattered by your appreciation. But maybe I come across as pompous to you because I actually know how to create an avatar, that and I'm not afraid to speak my mind?
Oh the irony, it takes a pompous ass to call someone else a pompous ass. At least you figured that one out on your own.

Response was to Billy. I dont think you suffer from popassicity. But you are right about one thing, I dont know how to create one, tips?

But you can actually give a pro obama comment or criticize Clinton? You certainly can't over on hillaryis44.

Sorry about the double post (seems to be an echo in here). But TalkLeft has been around a while and is a good site (lawyers- I think some had ties to Greenwald, but I might be wrong). I think Jeralynn is pro-Clinton; and BTD pro-Obama. The comments are becoming an echo chamber somewhat, like everyone else, they've become consumed in the "what is substance vs, political partisanship" question. There are few lefty sites that haven't joined the trash Clinton campaign.

My kingdom for an editing function. TalkLeft has no ties to Greenwald (he has linked to them a lot). BTD came from Dkos; it is JM’s site. From “about” link:
"TalkLeft was a unique voice in the 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006 elections, as it will be in 2008, concentrating on exposing injustices in the criminal justice system and, in particular, those of the current administration."
