Barack and Hillary's Secret Meeting!
Barack: I'm glad you agreed to this meeting, Hillary.
Hillary: I'm honored to be here. You know that. So what's up?
Barack: I don't think I ever thanked you properly.
Hillary: For what?
Barack: Well, remember way back early in the campaign when I was running on hope and change and optimism?
Hillary: Boy do I! laughs
Barack: And I was trying to engage in a new kind of politics and all that. Well, tonight as I was standing out on stage behind the podium accepting the nomination, I couldn't help thinking back to all you've done for me and the party.
Hillary: I'm flattered.
Barack: I mean, wow. It's just so impressive how you were able to swat down all that positive energy\ and drive my numbers down in the very states we will need to win in November. Impressive, really.
Hillary: Um, well, about that.
Barack: No, don't get defensive. I really do mean thank you. Really. It was just masterful the way you sabotaged alot of potential enthusiasm Florida and Michigan. How you made those folks think somehow I didn't want their votes to count when you know I was playing by the rules we agreed on. Thank you.
Hillary: Most people would be upset by all that. I'm really surprised at your generosity, and a little confused, to be honest.
Barack: Well, you almost took me down. You almost dragged down the entire Party, and true, lots of folks might resent you for that. But not me.
Hillary: raises eyebrow
Barack: I think you've done us all a favor. You've shown us how truly negative and ugly the old politics has been. You've shown us how nasty trying to win at all costs is. How unproductive. Most importantly, you've shown voters the worst side of politics. Now as I go forward into the general election they'll have something to compare my new approach to.
Hillary: hmm
Barack: Think how much cleaner and positive my message will be in comparison to your shenannigans over the past few months. It's a real opportunity for the campaign and for the party and we have you to thank for it. He reaches out to shake her hand.
Hillary: I should tell you first. I'm running as an Independent. I want to be President.
