4,000 And Counting
Those of us who have been paying attention to "Bush's" folly in Iraq know the cost has been too great to comprehend. But this poignant story from one who serves there brings it home in a way we can't:

The American death toll is tragic but think of the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who have been slaughtered. Think about the 30,000+ Americans who have catastrophic injuries. The cost of this war is not easy to comprehend for most Americans.
As the Lt. who spoke in the story above says so eloquently, "It's about personal losses to those who are serving. 4,000 is just a number." But the 8 and 3 he talks about are personal tragedies he will live with as long as he lives.
Al Sadr is fighting again. Bush's puppet, Maliki, has given him 72 hours to stop. I'm certain that will work. I'm sure Al Sadr's militia are trembling as they engage the frightening Iraqi military. As that Iraqi military turns and runs or melts back into their individual sects and militias to once again kill each other, Maliki and Bush will be shown to be the failures they are. Their policies of arrogance and incompetence will be exposed to the world again.
Unbelievably there are still 25%+ who think Bush/Cheney are competent. That should frighten the other 75% more than Al Queda.

When there was violence in Iraq, we had to stay. When the violence lessened, we had to stay. Violence is again increasing -- I suspect we'll have to stay.

Keep trying, Chuck. I'm afraid an attack is coming on Iran soon. Any time Cheney travels to that area it's not a good sign.
Take care,
Tom

I'm afraid you're right, Tom. I know I'm in the minority but I still fear "they" will pull something which stops the election in November. I hope I'm wrong!

Bush has some great role models to look to for tips:
Musharref (though not quite as successful as in the past, don't rule him out of the presidential spot)
Mugabe (CW says that even if Mugabe loses Saturday's election, there's no way the guy will ever get into office. Mugabe's capable of anything)
Putin (yeah, that new guy is so going to change Putin's policies)
Kibaki (it's the will of the people that he remains president, even if they didn't vote for him)

You're so right! I don't know whether these guys use "Georgie" or he uses them as role models.
