So today was the deadline for more subpoenaed documents to be handed over to the New Jersey lawmakers investigating the Chris Christie bridge scandal. Many of the people and organizations that got subpoenas were granted delays, but those that weren't apparently turned over at least some documents by this afternoon. None are expected to be released today, but hopefully we'll be seeing some soon.

New Jersey lawmakers had a chance today to purge a Republican state senator from investigating the bridge scandal after questions were raised about whether he was involved in the scandal itself. So what did they do?

On Tuesday, the news broke that Gov. Chris Christie met in September with an executive whose company has been linked to allegations involving Hurricane Sandy relief money and a real estate development. Now, TPM's own Hunter Walker reports that the ties between the governor and the executive run much deeper. Both have more than a decade of involvement with the same New Jersey charity. Gov. Chris Christie's administration plans its second event of the day to push back against the allegations from the mayor of Hoboken, N.J. This one is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET and involves the director of the Governor's Office of Recovery and Rebuilding. Stay tuned.
