The Daily Beast reported Tuesday that Jofi Joseph, who helped negotiate policy on Iran as the director of the non-proliferation section of the White House National Security Staff, was fired last week when he was discovered as the man behind an anonymous Twitter account bashing the Obama administration and its foreign policy.

From the @natsecwonk account, Joseph vexed his colleagues with candid and often insulting opinions of White House staff. National political figures and journalists, including the Daily Beast reporter who discovered his alias, were also hit with Joseph's snark. Rep. Renee Ellmers' (R-NC) husband reported an AR-15 rifle stolen from the family's unlocked garage last week, the Raleigh News & Observer reported Tuesday.

Brent Ellmers reported that a rifle, gun case and a GPS were stolen from the family's home in Dunn, N.C., according to Chief J.D. Pope. The rifle had been left leaning against a gun locker in the unsecured garage after a target shooting outing, according to a police report. The report didn't indicate whether the rifle was loaded.

A member of the White House National Security Staff was fired last week after he was discovered as the man behind an anonymous Twitter account that insulted White House officials and was critical of the Obama administration.

The Daily Beast's Josh Rogin reported Tuesday that Jofi Joseph, a director in the non-proliferation section of the National Security Staff at the White House, was the staffer behind the @natsecwonk Twitter account well-known in Washington policy circles. A White House spokesman confirmed to the publication that Joseph no longer works there.

A gay Oklahoma couple was married under tribal code in a first for the state that does not legally recognize same-sex marriages, Oklahoma City news station KOCO reported Monday.

Jason Pickel told KOCO he and his partner Darren Black Bear were prepared to travel to Iowa, which does recognize same-sex marriage, before inquiring at the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribe's Courthouse where they received a marriage license for $20.
