Some federal contractors say Obamacare's online heath insurance marketplace may not run smoothly until after the Dec. 15 deadline to sign up for coverage that begins in January, according to a New York Times story published Sunday.

Administration officials asked contractors last week to see if repairs could be made to the HealthCare.gov website by Nov. 1, according to the Times. The Department of Health and Human Services announced on its website Sunday that it was bringing in the "best and brightest" in a "tech surge" to solve the technical issues the website faces.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) encouraged the Republican Party to hold back, come up with an alternative to Obamacare and let the health care law undermine itself in an interview that aired Sunday.

Rep. Peter King (R-NY), who is no fan of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), said Friday that supporters of President Barack Obama's signature health care law should be thankful for the Texas Republican's efforts to defund it.

A group of immigration activists on Friday morning formed a human chain to prevent a bus that returns deported individuals from leaving a federal courthouse, the Arizona Daily Star reported.

Six demonstrators out of about two dozen who gathered at the courthouse in Tucson, Ariz. formed a human chain to block a main exit, according to the Daily Star. U.S. Marshals and security officers were on scene trying to remove the demonstrators.

Jon Stewart on Thursday blasted Republican governors and lawmakers who reject expanding Medicaid in their states, singling out the most egregious offenders as "moochers."

Stewart added "total dickishness" to the list of obstacles facing the implementation of Obamacare, citing the 26 Republican-controlled states that declined federal dollars to expand Medicaid out of "spite."

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Friday got a rise out of the crowd at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. at Vice President Joe Biden's expense.

Cruz ran down a list of what he said were the Obama administration's attacks on the Constitution, taking a shot at Biden when he touched on the vice president's gun control efforts.
