Mark Herring’s dreams of running the state of Virginia could soon fall into his lap.

The state attorney general previously indicated that he planned to throw his hat into the Democratic gubernatorial primary ahead of the 2021 election. But, if the two top officials in the state opt to resign in disgrace — due to two separate bad-optics ghosts from the past that were surfaced by one pro-Trump website in the past week — he could end up the 2021 shoo-in.
