A plurality surveyed by Public Policy Polling said they didn’t care that Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) helped a Louisiana State University fan do a keg stand earlier in September.

The new poll, conducted between Sept. 25 and Sept. 28 among 1,141 likely voters, found that 40 percent said they “don’t care” about the keg stand while 36 percent said they disapprove and 21 percent said they approve.

Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), who is running against Landrieu in the Louisiana race for U.S. Senate, said that Landrieu’s help was “not something to celebrate.”

Landrieu, in response, brushed off criticism.

“They need to get a sense of humor, and they need to get a life — it’s just the way we roll,” Landrieu told Roll Call.

The margin of error was plus or minus 2.9 percentage points.

The TPM Polltracker average gives Cassidy a 3 point lead in the Senate primary.
